This handmade pasta allows us to create an artisanal meal at home, yet tastes so good you will feel like you have gone to the restaurant. Hand-crafted, this pasta is made using local, fresh ingredients without artificial dyes or flavorings. This second generation, family uses traditional Italian methods to create their pasta from scratch...because you shouldn’t have to wonder what’s in your food.
A traditional Italian pasta making technique called extrusion is used when creating this pasta. During the extrusion process the pasta dough is pushed through bronze dies that shape the dough (think cavatappi or maccheroni). The artisanal extrusion process produces a pasta with a distinct, somewhat coarse texture that gives it a delicious uniqueness. The coarse texture also helps sauces adhere to the pasta resulting in a better culinary experience.
Ingredients: Semolina, Durum Wheat (niacin, iron, thiamine, riboflavin, folic acid), Organic Spinach, Roasted Butternut Squash, Italian Sea SaltCooking Instructions:
Bring water to a boil and add salt. Add pasta. Boil gently for 5-7 minutes stirring occasionally to avoid clumping or sticking to the bottom of the pot. Cook to desired tenderness. Drain and rinse with water.
